I was the Social Media Coordinator at United Supermarkets from March 2012 to September 2014. I moderated and created content for its various social media properties. United operates several banners (United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos, etc), and I was committed to publishing a unique set of content that best represented what was unique about each.

After being purchased by Albertsons in late 2013, the new “United Division” was eventually given a handful of existing Albertsons stores in West Texas and Eastern New Mexico to run as Albertsons Market stores staffed with United’s people and supported by United’s distribution center. The change also meant website and social media support for the stores from United’s marketing team.

The content I created for these new Facebook and Twitter pages advertised sales and services, but was also crucial in communicating changes and new programs to customers of these stores. The new Facebook page was just shy of 10,000 fans when I left the company in September 2014.
